Confused

Hi all

I am thinking of takeing out the carb ristrictor but i dont really want to have to drill my exhaust system would it do some damage to my engine over time or would it just nacker it all together i cant really see the point in drilling it anyway its only smoke that goes through it anyway

the thing is i want to know if it would do any damage

thanx

Imagine if you would..If you had to eat though a straw and shit though a straw..Wouldn't do you much good. Similar (but not as life threatening) sort of thing with your bike.

Who ever designed the NSRs engine designed it to be as fast as possable (was gettin on 10 years ago though). The ONLY reason them restrictors are in there is because of the governments rules!!

Theres no point in taking the carb plate out if your not gonna take the exhaust sleeve out. I (and i dont think i'm gonna be alone on this one) recommend you get rid of that pesky exhaust sleeve and start enjoying a full power NSR. Much better bike when its full power.

The only thing you may need to do is re jet your bike afterwards. But i didn't need to rejet mine afterwards. May vary from model to model..Dunno about that one.

Hope you decide you get shut of the restrictors

Building on Summys model, imagine eating through a mouth twice the size of your own but shitting through a straw. It dont work, does it?
You need remove the exhaust restriction so that you can get rid of the gas as quick as you make it.
Why else would race pipes make more power?

Hey Summy, it was your idea that got me started off Wink

Hop off, probably not. Maybe if you get caught at 100 the pigs would suss something, but as most of them dont know shit about bikes you would probably be ok.

If you get caught going faster than a restricted NSR goes you're buggered anyway so...........just don't caught, and don't think you can outrun the cops either, it requires a bigger bike, and a more experienced rider than most of us NSR riders, unless your names Casey Stoner of course Very Happy

ive been pulled twice, and ive never had the balls to do it, but all you have to do is find a nice longbackalley, then disapear, im sure it would work, then make for your house, and run upstairs and hide under the covers

and make sure they didnt get your plates which is unlikely but

erm

cops are batty

Say your number plate is V*** *** why not put a bolt underneath so the V looks like a Y??? Little things like that, or go flat out and change 2 letters/numbers around and blame it on the dislexic guy who made up your plate..........might foil your plan if they do a PNC check and it comes back as they are following a grey skoda favorit tho.....

If you can get away, you can always leave your bike somewhere, take all biking gear off and try and get a friend to pick you up. When you get home suddenly discover that someone's nicked your bike and inform the police.
If they haven't found it in a day or two you can allways get a friend to call them and report where it is. They should then call you to say where it is and of course it was the 'joyrider' doing all the naughty things Smile

Good idea, but surely it would be better to leave your bike there for a week, and if the police don't contact you go and pick it up and think no more.

But as you say, if the police do turn up, depending how serious the incident was, you could say it was tea leafed by some skaghead.

I wouldn't fancy leaving my bike many places for a week though, think i'd rather face the music Laughing Unless you can get the bike to a mates house or something and stick it in his garage for a bit.

If the police rung you up a few days later it'd sound a bit dodgy saying: "oops, I forgot to report it but my bike got nicked".

You wouldn't want to admit you knew where the bike was... If it was okay the police would probably just ring you and get you to pick it up.
If you didn't tell the police where it was it would still be listed as stolen and you'd definatley be in for it if the police stopped/chased you again.
