Anyone seen bikers kick out their right foot to express annoyance?

I've only mainly seen it in racing, but I've seen other riders do it to people they think are doing something foolish/dangerous.

Am I imagining it? Any idea what the reason is behind it?

I do it in racing... (grasstrack/speedway) but thats purely as a balance measure...kicking my leg out helps me shift my weight back over that side of the bike when im hanging off to the left etc...

Never seen anyone do it on the road though... i normally just raise my hand in a confused manner, as if to say "What...?" i general dont get angry on the road, just bermused at how stupid certain people can be...

I do it if I'm sometimes when I'm a little to far to the right in traffic (so that I can see ahead and maybe filter thorugh) and a car tries to push me further out and and take up my road space. I stick my left leg out to stop them undertaking and move back into the centre just so they know i dominate that space of road.

They can have the gap when I've gone, not while I'm looking for an opertunity to go.

Thanks for the tip!

Yesterday a beemer pulled out of a side road in front of me whilst I was doing 60MPH, slammed the brakes on. Simply overtook him with a Middle Finger as I was passing. Smile

I saw in the R6 cup, 2nd place, was tustling for 1st, and someone they were lapping got in the way. He eventually made the over take.

Then kinda stretched his right leg out after he'd passed. The commentator made a big deal about it about how he was making his anger clear etc.

Another rider in a big group rideout I went on did it to someone who went the wrong side of a traffic island..

I do tend to kick out my left leg from time to time but that’s due more to having a bit dodgy knee what will click loudly if I have been scrunched up for any time on the bike.

As for showing my annoyance I very rarely do more than a shake of the head at the pedestrian that would have stepped out on me if I wasn’t for the horn.

I find I am much more likely to nod thanks at good driving in a vain attempt to promote cager bike relationships.

Still that’s not to say I haven’t collected a wing mirror on two from people that have tried there best to kill me.

If you see me kick out, it means I missed the door or wing which I was aiming at Wink

Yup megadrive game road rash , punching kicking , backahanders , chain and billy club (those RRIII was terrible had knives and stun guns in it) ,

though I have slapped somebody's bonnet before , the person seemed busy head down looking at something and almost hit me and didn't realise he was drifting lanes
