this should probably be in the exchange and mart section, but I posted it here from the point of view of general interest.

A mate of mine is selling his Triumph Speed Triple..
but it isn't just any old Speed triple...

It is one of the 2 bikes they used when filming Johnny English, and has actually been sat on (and scratched) by the lovely Natalie Imbruglia.

more info here

https://ianellison.org.uk/natalie/triumph.html

just think.... natalie's lovely bot has been on that very seat!

(he has all the stuff to prove it's authenticity too, including the fake plates used during filming and other gubbins )

Would be far more appealing if miss Imbruglias 'bot' had been on that very seat last, and not your mates! Laughing

Hmm that is a nice bike, but I'd be willing to part with almost as much money to ride Natalie instead Wink

I think buying some useful, relatively praqctical and fun movie memorabilia then spray painting it yellow would kinda defeat the purpose...

its hardly the sledge from citizen kane, ive seen Johnny English and had to look it up on imdb to remember it. the fact that an ex nebours star with 1 record hit sat on it may make some sucker pay a bit more but most people buy bikes to ride, hell if i had steve mcqueens bike from the great escape id still take it out for the odd spin.

i'm not saying don't ride it.. my mate's been riding it... but I see no point in devaluing what little premium it might command by respraying it Smile

I don't see how it has any extra value really, she may have used it but some fat bloke has been using it now, the fact it was used in a film wouldn't appeal to me any more than a normal triumph for sale and I don't like triumphs anyway. Razz

I don't think the bike will sell for anymore than it normally would because it was in the film, the film was never really a huge success and when someone does buy it I would think it would be because they want the bike, it being in a film will just be a conversation piece as a small bonus.

imo Smile

I agree.

The bloke that owns it now must have gotten sick of the "you ride a pink bike?" and getting laughed at by his mates...

Probabbly made the natalie imbruglia part up aswell just to sell the bloody thing, fake plates can be gotten from most graphics shops! Laughing Mr. Green Wink
