i saw this bike locally yesterday, local purchase is now high on my agenda, makes sorting problems worlds easier

2000 A4 Model, 12000 miles, full service history, 1 owner, just been serviced

was up for 1695, got it for 1500

took it for a test ride, and found nowt but a sticky choke cable which they said they will fix next weekend for me, for nothing

i know most of you probly think i cant pick bikes for shit, and youre probly right for the most part but this was more my dad than it was me, and he tends to get things right, so we shall see

Should you have any problems, the people on those forums mentioned above will help you out. The latter being the better for technical queries as its far busier.

Bar the old rectifier and rusty head bearings problems along with the impossible mission to get to the spark plugs , it should cause you no problems whatsoever. They are very reliable bikes. Just keep them well lubed up in wd40.

If you ever need any parts (all bar anything near the front of the bike) I know two ER-5 wreckages near me!

Great little bikes, not what I'd expect you to pick though tbh.

have you considered getting one of thoughs extended warranty thinks some insurance companys sell, i always thought they were a bit of a con but might give you some piece of mind
