Hi, im getting some parts for my bike from Ebay

To pay the guy im going to be paying the money straight into his bank account as he has given me his account number etc.

He has excellent feedback and looking through what he's sold to other buyers he seems as though he sells alot of parts.

So is paying the money directly into his bank account a safe method???

The amount am paying in is just over a £100.

Cheers for any advice! Thumbs Up

But thats generally how it is on Ebay, weather paying by pay pal or even postal order, you could pay by them and still not recieve.

So..........?

I agree Tecky, even if you pay by cheque he would wait for it to clear. Make sure you get and keep a receipt for the money you pay in.

I think your best bet would be to pay him via PayPal, and use a credit card, as it's over £100 you'd be covered by your credit card's fraud protection if the goods don't turn up.
