Rs125 top end.

Hey guys,

im fairly mechanical but i would prefer it if i had a guide to follow to rebuild my top end on my rs125.
Do any of you know where i can find one on the internet?

Also recently ive noticed a strange noise, when ive been out and then came back and turned it off there is a pingin noise coming from the exhaust or somewhere by it. Its like when it is cooling down and it makes a pinging noise but it never use to do it.

An when i push the bike it sounds as if the brake pads are to tight to the discs. How would i rectify this?

Yes could be that its the discs cooling down but i never noticed it before.
But my bike does seem to slow down alot faster now if im off the throttle so im thinking that the brake pads are too tight on the disc?

my break pads didnt used to rub on the disc when i pushed it but do now
dunno how they have got tighter on there own?

Have the pads actually got enough material on them, the reason I ask, is that I had the same thing and it turned out the rear pads were shagged.

Dransy, they might have gotten dirty...take the calliper off, rub the disk side of the pad with a dry cloth, and clean the back of the pad with somthing, and then apply a bit of copper grease to THE BACK of the pad!

Well my brake pads were changed not long ago but the noise is coming from the rear so it could be shagged?

Suppose id better have a look tomorrow.

With mine, there was always a certain amount of contact with the disk but you never noticed it until the rear pads had worn down.
