Continuing from the post about getting a beating at Gran Turismo 4...

Me and the GF rented Moto GP 4 from blockbuster last night. Both of us ended up playing it for about 4 hours straight. Absolutely amazing game. Loved it.

We had a quick practice then we thought, what the hell. Lets go and do a full 16 track GP. 5 laps each track though. Well we only got about 9 of the tracks done before we thought we better go to bed. Sachsenring was the best circuit I thought.

I took the Kawasaki and she took the Repsol Honda RCV.

Most bike games I've played, I'm normally tailing around miles from behind the last guy. But the both of us were side by side in amongst rossi and the guys fighting for 1st 2nd and 3rd most of the time. Not bad for a first go I thought. I won a few races and the GF won a few too.

Top game. Anyone else played it yet?

As far as I know, aye. Can't wait till 3 comes out on the PC. Hope it's going to be as good as that.

I have, and still play, MotoGP2 on Xbox (MotoGp3 on the PS2, numbers don't correlate correctly....), and have been desperatley waiting for MotoGp4 on Xbox (will be GP3.....). It was scheduled for the start of June, but the last I heard had been put back until September.

What a great game though. One of the other things I loved about 2 was that when you finished each GP, you got a 5 minute video highlights reel of the last years actual GP at the track you'd just completed. I loved it purely for going back and watching the season.

So the PS2 version is good then? My only hope with the delay was that they'd put more video footage in, this season maybe?

I watched the game being played in my local blockbuster and it seemed to me the sounds of the bikes were a little weird. What do you think??

I thought Rossi's bike sounds lush on the overrun with the backcrackling and all.

I did notice that for some reason the handling feels a lot different between the ps2 and the PC MotoGP games, does anyone know why this is?

I had moto GP4 on Ps2 but it didn't compare to Moto GP URT2 on xbox or PC so I gave it to Luke. Not even sure if he remembered to pick it up from Cadwell.

Anyone tried the demo of Moto GP URT 3 on Xbox? Still seems a bit rough round the edges.
