hey all,
anything i should know before taking out the fuel tank and pulling out the fuel line and the vacuum lines?
My bike has 3 fuel options.. res, on and prime.. no off for the tank... but i assume that the valve should prevent the tank from laeking?

And the other tube that seems to go to the engine (or carbs.. dont remember) is the vacuum tube right? Anything i should know before connecting it?

I havent gotten around to finding a manual for this one yet

thanks all

Just pull the pipes off - leave the tap set to 'On' and if the diaphragm is working ok then it shouldn't leak.

Make a good note of which pipe goes where - if you connect the vacuum pipe onto one of the tap outlets you can fill the engine with petrol.

Make sure none of the pipes are trapped or kinked on re-assembly.

There'll probably be a brether pipe from the tank that just pokes down near the back of the gearbox, and a wiring plug if you have a fuel gauge.
