New chain and sprockets

Hi

After putting a new chain and sprockets on is there anything like a running in period for it or is it just a cse of put it on, oil it up and go?

No running in but keep an eye on it cos it will slacken quickly and need adjusting.

As mentioned they tend to 'stretch' a bit when first put on (not to get into the 'a chain can not stretch' discussion). It will settle at a length then stay there if kept properly lubricated Thumbs Up

I always follow this rule... go out for 20 mins or half hour take it steady... then check the slack.... then nail it as usual.... check it every other day for the 1st week just to keep an eye on it as they stretch really quick at first..
