Sorry to jump in your thread, but I have a similar question. Got my bike and the previous owner had put these big spongy grips on it. I hate them, and I'm convinced they cause most of the pain in my wrist. So I want to get shot. But, I have no idea where to look for grips for an '89 TZR. Anyone? Is there a size I should look for or anything? I really have no idea on this one Confused
Cheers Thumbs Up

I think most grips are standard size

try www.bikingdirect.com

or have you already tried it, they do have a nice choice of grips.

Thumbs Up

I had a look, but they seem to have a big list of bike specific grips, with my TZR (not entirely surprisingly) not there Thumbs Down However, I guess this is most likely just because of the design on them? Anywhere I can just get plain ones?

Bomberman - Wot about Harris Grips? There not spongy, and when u change the grips, dont put too much washing up liquid under it, use a little bit of wd40 and pull it off.

Harris do a set in carbon that look nice ona ny bike Thumbs Up

Just go into your local bike dealer 'I want some grips please'.

Most bars are a standard size, 22mm or 28mm I think. One grip is slightly bigger to house the throttle.

Put them on using hairspray as lubrication, because it dries slightly sticky.

Awesome.

tennis racket handle grips! i've seen a bike done with tennis racket grips and it makes the handles much chunkier and alot nicer feel. wrap as much on as you like to make it bigger. looked good you can use a black and a red to get the look you want.
