Hey,
I would like to clean the jets in the carbs. Is this something that i can take up and do without much complications? I dont have any tools to adjust the floats (air-fuel etc) and want to take the carbs out only if i can clean just the jets without an y other complications.
Will any fuel additves I see in the market help the same?

Hi

You can get a spray can of carb cleaner that will help. Compressed air will also help. Do not shove anything down the jets to clean them out.

Float heights should not move when you take the carb apart, so just be careful there.

All the best

Keith

So i will not have to touch anything conencted to the float height to get to the jets?

What about the fuel additives that promise t clean the carbs?
worth the money for a reasonable clean>?

I know a couple of people who swear by carb cleaners, I have never tried one myself.

As said, cleaning out the jets is pretty simple, compressed air usually does the job. The hardest bit of the job is getting the airbox rubbers back on.

You should really re-balance the carbs after you have had them in bits, that is just fine-tuning though. Get it running properly first.
