Today was my first day on my (restricted) ZZR. What can I say?! It was awesome! Picked it up at 9 and rode around till about 3. I couldnt belive how powerfull it felt even restricted, and yes maybe I will be bored of the power soon but the first time I wacked the throttle open and took it to 100 (finally cracked the ton! ) it felt fantastic. Lost count of how many nods I got. All in all a great days riding ____________________ Yamaha rxs100 > Kawasaki ZZR600 > Kawasaki ZX6R > Honda Hornet 600 > Honda Bros 400 > Suzuki SV650S K2

Its good stuff aint it I remember my first ride on the GS500... hehe i remember saying "Wow dad, the power just seems never ending... its like i open the throttle, then a bit more, and a bit more, and a bit more, and its still got power to pull!" And now its like "Meh....0-60 in like 5 seconds ish" 90mph is now fast crusing pace and 85mph is slow cruising pace, only does 35mph in first gear, meh. Want a sports bike!
Just enjoy it mate! Its the best feeling in the world, and the nods you get from other riders, as they actually acknowledge you as a fellow rider! ____________________ CBT Aug '03 ... Gilera GSM 50 ... Honda NSR 125 Aug '04 ...

Nice one Chris
Just wait till you can get the restricter off then the fun begins. Just learn as much as you can before you go to full power |

Very nice bike to start on (or keep, i certainly wouldn't mind one!), very comfy too... if you decided to change anything the rear shock has been accused of being a bit squashy.. it will do trackdays though.
Be gentle with the gear selecting.. and enjoy ____________________ >RidingSkills<->Tech Tips<->MyBikes< |
