new Vulcan 800 = Haggle price?

I am buying a new 2005 Kawasaki Vulcan 800. The selling price is $6099 but the OTD is nearly $7000. What is the lowest I can probably go to get a good deal on the bike? Especially since the salesperson said a bike can't be haggled very much compared to a car?

Just see how far you can get. Try going down by a couple of hundred, then coming up, meeting in the middle each time.

I bought it for a total of $6940 w/ 15% off gloves and bike cover. I maxed out my husband's credit card, but as soon as I learn how to drive it (at the safety course) it'll be worth it.
