How can i sort this (exhaust manifold) out?

This came loose a couple of months ago now so i tried to turn the bolt that kept it roughly in place but because it was so dirty and rusty it snapped and now the piece is just hanging! It actually goes all the way up to near the radiator, i think protecting the exhaust system it looks like but not too sure.

Any ideas what it is and how i could fix it now that it's proper fixing has snapped?

Thanks

l take thats a NSR125?

its just the outerskin of the exhaust pipe, you could find a welder who could weld it back in place. is it possable to remove the plate.

Yeh sorry mate, forgot to say it was an NSR.

Oh right, i was going to ask if i could just remove it but wasn't sure whether it was there to protect sharp debris from damaging the exhasut?
