I was going over a roundabout yesterday in 3rd gear on my CG125 and was too lazy to change down, although I should have as I was only going about 10 miles an hour.

As I exited the roundabout, I twisted the throttle hard, the engine started to accelerate slowly and suddenly, the engine stopped accelerating and my speed stopped increasing, so I let the throttle off, and the engine suddenly kicked in again.

I was totally confused as to what caused this, although as I write this, I realise it was probably a temporary stall, which was cured by me accidently bump-starting the engine (since I was still moving), although I didn't think was possible to stall at 10 miles an hour!

So anyone know what caused this? It felt very odd!

could have just been u flooding the engine in a higher gear and it clearing itself up when u let off the throttle.

Yeah, stalled/flooded. Temporarily wet the spark plug.

Because the engine RPM was so low, when you opened full throttle there was not enough "suction" to pull the air thru the carb so, the fuel wont get "sucked" up out of the float bowl causing you engine to get about 100% air and No Fuel.
As soon as you closed the throttle, the air flow thru the carb increased and this will also draw the fuel up too giving you the corect mixture again.

Simple really Laughing
