Tyre repair kits

I am planning to tour Europe in July, so am getting things ready.
I bought a tubeless tyre repair kit to " get me out of the shit " use.
The kit has a router and a needle type tools, some long sticky plugs,
glue and inflation co2 cartridges + pipe. The one thing it does not have is any instructions. Can anyone give me some instructions and tips on using it, hopefully I wont need it but want to be prepared in case.

you have to get the tyre off the wheel.

bore out the hole to 3mm, put glue on the plug, let the glue dry a bit, and then plug the hole really tight.

Let it set properly, and then put the tyre back on the wheel and reinflate.

TBH, you'd be better off with one of those cans full of foam to get you to the nearest garage.

Do I Bend the plug over and push it through the hole then pull out the tool.
I suppose that I then trim off the excess plug that protrudes from the hole.
Does this sound correct, I have heard of people who continue there trip after the repair, as I might be in a rual area I might not find a replacment tyre for a few days.

All the plugs I've seen you have to push them through from inside the tyre.

Couldn't tell without seeing yours.
