I'm selling my ZZR600 because I havn't got the paitience to learn how to fix it myself nor the money to get it fixed by a professional. I've decided to give you guys at BCF first offer on this. If no-one is interested then i'll sell it to a bike dealer for probably more than i'm asking.

It's a 1991 D model with 43000 miles on it. It's in very good condition consmetically and the engine does run superbly. Starts first time every time and with the race exhaust on, it sounds pretty darn awesome. It has a new rear tyre, new brake pads & new battery & braided hoses.

Now the bad points. It jumps out of second gear into neutral if you rev it too high in second. The new battery has just died on me after 4 days. I don't know why, it might just be the fact that i've had the light switch in the central position instead of to the right. I have no idea what the middle setting in as the writing is faded. Mr. Green

Having just pushed the heavy bastard over a mile home i've had enough. It's a nice bike it just needs some love. I'm asking £490 for it, to be collected from Birmingham. If anyones interested leave a post and e-mail me.

BTW the brake calipers in this picture on not on because I was in the middle of putting the new pads on when I took the picture.

The gear jumping is a zzr trait, its not a good sign... however i can tell you now its worth FAR more than £500 if you break it up.

Good job i'm moneyless at the moment as well..

What exactly is wrong with it?

I can tell you now, if you were selling that in September/October time, I would deffo buy that. Only reason I can't now is I have to fund my RD and I have yet to get a job (applied and should start September).

break it for spares on ebay.

striping down the bottom end to replace a gear is,nt really worth it for a old ZZR600 D1

Dammit, it's a good job I'm no-where near Birmingham, my mum would kill me if I brought ANOTHER motorcycle home.

If you were closer I'm not sure I'd be able to resist, probably just for the Yoshi can!

I've been as honest as possible about this bike. I've been riding it to & from work for the last 2 weeks & it runs fine, you just need to short shift from 2nd into 3rd (or fix the problem). The reason i'm selling it so cheap is I got this as part ex for my last bike & all I want is to cover my costs (new tyre, pads & battery). You're welcome to come and have a look at the bike, if no one wants it then i'll end up breaking it which seems a shame, a little bit of work and this will be a nice bike.

You can't ride that on L-Plates.

You must pass first.

On L-plates it's 125 restricted tops.
