Let's face it, I can use the net, but when it comes to the fathom of bikes out there..I go cross-eyed Crying or Very sad

My fave is the Suz GS500F..but I really don't want to pay new prices for it.
If not that, I favour blue and/blue and white bike, fairing, screen, 500/600 cc, good condition, not too old, just nice looking...

Basically, if you know someone who is selling/ or you see one on the net please let me know.
It is my birthday at the end of July, and the Fiance and I have a weekend alone and would love to go on the bikes together..off into the yonder...

BTW.. if anyone knows of a YELLOW 600 for sale also let me know..
he likes Triumphs in particular Smile Wink

Thanks ,

j xxx

Excuse my ignorance, but does the colour have an effect on the bikes performance or comfort etc?

Yes, black is the slowest as it absorbs light, so is heavier. A chrome finish will reflect light, but you have to be careful in which direction, as if it's not equal on both sides, the bike will be pushed over. Manufacturers know this, so compensate by tuning the engine in accordance with the colour of the bike. What you want is an engine from a black bike put into a white/silver/yellow bike.

Green is the most comfortable colour. Red makes people ride faster.

I see, so I really need to get my black GSXR11 painted white and red, so I can ride faster, and get more power...it's all so clear now

Yup. Thinking about it, you could have a black front and white tail, sucking all the light in at the front and expelling it out of the rear. With a red stripe on the tank. Should go really fast then.

I don't see the problem with people looking for a bike in the colour they want, bikes aren't cheap, no point spending thousands on something in a colour you don't even like. Besides, if you have it in a colour you're not keen on, it's only an extra reason not to hold onto it for long and so might cost you more when you decide to buy another bike in a colour you do like.

I think people are entitled to buy what they want.
