There might be a wee switch above the starter button.

Don't think you can - NC30s have a light switch on the left nad switchgear, all RVFs I've seen don't seem to have them.

Maybe an NC30 left hand switchgear transplant (and rewiring) will allow you to turn them on and off at will.

I presume the RVF's battery is small enough as it is (is it a 5 or 7 amp hour?), and many Honda 400s have weak rec/regulator problems as standard.

Replace the regulator/rec with one from a different bike, someone will know which ones fit.

As for turning the headlights off you would have to wire in your own switch as all nc35's have the headlights switched on permently.

Yup, no direct provision for switching off the lights...but you can "switch off" the constant indicators by disconnecting one of the wires (on each indicator).
