hey all, i bought these on the might egay, as last time i looked into them i was told £20 a bulb, so i just want to know;

1- Through a coloured or clear lense, is there actually any improvement?

2- Anyone know a CHEAP way to get a clear brake light lens?

I have those. I have had mine 2 years and the light is excellent through a red lens (white led bulb).

Yeh but these are red, so im not sure if they will be powerful enough through the red filter. Yes i know theortically red light gets through unmolested, but still, im paranoid.

I used a red one on my bike, was still visible for brake and tail lights but it didn't really illuminate the number plate.

On the rs125 it uses the brake light to work as a numberplate light, there's a clear bit at the bottom of the light which shines onto the plate.
