Not much storage. Just enough space for a disc lock under the seat. Best thing to buy is probably a bungee net just so you can carry a lock and chain or a lunch box.

Does anybody use that bloody awfully placed helmet hook on the NSR??? I find it a dodgy place to have it, and I have a £200 lid and wouldn't dream or leavin it attached to my bike.........although having said that I never leave my bike apart from at bike meets and after I have put it in the garage at night.

lol hello mini me!!
I've got one of those flip up helmets (Caberg J1) only cost about £100 last year, they're probably even cheaper now.

Regarding a back box- I haven't got a clue as I wouldnt spoil the look of the NSR with one of those things!!

yeah i've seen one for 99.99 from busters accessories in a fetching metallic red, anythings better than my space helmet.

If i had a white/blue/red box it would match Razz

you have to resign yourself to the fact that if you ride a sports bike you have to do without any storage.. except your pockets!!! Very Happy

Should you really spend less than £100 on a helmet??? It is your head afterall... surely thats worth spending money on a decent helmet??

if it has the approval stickers on it it means it tested just the same as the 200+ helmets just means it's not a rip off

the one i got now cost my sis 60 and it's a class A etc etc

Well the Caberg J1 was the helmet of choice for the instructors when I did my CBT! so surely they are not that bad. Obviously they used them because thay had the flip up front, but even so.

Zak, I would have got the red one too, but when I bought mine they were only available in Black, Silver, or dark metallic blue. Think they have brought some new colours out now because they are apparently a popular choice of helmet.

And if you can get some storage in Red, white and blue that looks something like a rear seat hump that would be okay, but a huge back box in beige- no way!! Wink

LMAO just seen your avatar Zak!
I am still trying to persuade my girlfriend to start riding, just so that I can keep the NSR, but shes having none of it (money minded women!).
So I guess its yours if you want it (when youve had a test ride and decide if you want it for the right price).
If you are anything like me then a test ride will get you addicted! Wink

Laughing thought i'd join in on the topic of lids. Get a decent race rep lid for about £120 mate, there is a nice one that Rossi had last season, that is a type A obvioulsy. Don't buy a plain lid whatever you do, I had one but regretted it at bike meets when I saw other people with lush paintwork, so I bought an AGV Patriot, the bulldog one, brilliant lid, nion jack background all over witha bulldog on the side. £160.

Cheers.

A decent expensive helmet *is* going to offer better protection, whether the rest of you will be in one piece at the speeds which it matters is another matter though.

Oh yeah... flip front lids are often not *quite* as good as far as protection goes, though most are ok now-a-days... If I stop spending all my moeny on AV/Computer stuff I want to get a Laser Revolution for general riding and a Simpson or similar for fast riding/track days/etc.

When i get a new lid there's a custom graphics shop just down the road from me, i plan to get them to do me some graphics on it, thats way it's more personal.

A lid is the most important thing you can buy. More important than the bike. More important than leathers. More important than boots. You get the picture. No offence mate, but I think you should widen your price range a little more. Just because two lids are both Type A doesn't mean they are both exactly the same protection wise. Take my advice you should be spending at least £140 in the real world.

I was thinking about getting my HJC flip-lid painted, but when I found out that I could get myself a very decent race-rep for around the same price (about £300!!!), I thought "forget it"...
