as above iv put a new 2 stroke line on, from the pump to the carb, is there a way to feed the oil through the pipe without having to start it?

Yes, there will be a bleed screw on the oil pump. Undo the screw and the oil will flow through. Keep it flowing until you've got nearly all the air out of the tube.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

That will get the oil from the tank and into the pump but the pipe replaced goes from the pump to the carb...

In which case i suppose you could fill the hose with oil before fitting but but would be very messy and probably not successful.

Why you would want to though i'm not sure, you wouldn't gain a lot...

On my Honda H100 after rebuilding and blleding the air from the oil pump i needed to get the oil through to the carb. The manual says this can take ten minutes of running so i thought i'd just see how long it actually takes. I found another small piece of hose of the same diameter, plugged one end with a bolt then fitted it onto the inlet at the carb. This stops an airleak when you disconnect the oil line there. Then i hung the now free end of the oil supply pipe from the pump down onto a rag and started the engine. It actually took all of about 1 minute before the oil started to come through at about 1 drip every two or three seconds on tickover!
Reconnected it to the carb then completely filled the fuel tank to dilute down the small amount of premix i'd put in to run it and the job was sorted...

i just normally start bike with pump cover off and turn the oil pump right round (either with fingers or pull the cable on the pump )to full then will pump through in about 5 seconds, or if oil pipe is long i use small syringe of 2 stroke un plug pipe from oil pump and fill with syringe then put back on and start, i would still bleed pump + turn oil pump round to full for few seconds to make sure was going thru

syphon out most of the fuel, turn off the fuel, drain the carb, add a bit of 2 stroke oil to the tank.

run the bike, hold open the oil pump until its flowing through

add the rest of the fuel

Buy a syringe and fill the line up with two stroke. Try and get as many bubbles out as possible. It will be messy but you don't wanna risk seizing it.

Once you've got it on at both ends, with as few bubbles as possible, start the bike and open the bleed screw with a bucket under the pump. Wait for all of the bubbles to come out (oil will flow out smoothly) and then your done.

I fit a clear oil hose and if there are ever any bubbles, keep an eye on them. If there is long one then you know your pump is goofed.
