Currently have some Alpinestars SP-2's, lovely gloves, but starting to wear thin now. I'm after something fairly specific.... red/white/black in colour, plenty of kevlar on it and ideally some kevlar wrist protection too. Any ideas??

Am I the only one who thinks that Kevlar armour in gloves is a bit of gimmick?

Nothing wrong with wearing showy gear, but I personally would rather save my cash and buy whatever will give me maximum comfort for minimum cash whilst providing the necessary protection.

Tried looking through catologues, or *shock horror* going to your nearest bike clothing shop and having a browse?

Tried the local shops, nothing there that takes my fancy at all! Maybe the kevlar thing is a gimmick, who knows, I just want max protection in the event of an off!

Seems quite good to me. Won't do anything if you are just sliding down the road, but if you do a couple of "spins" first, your arms are going to be flailing and you knuckels could be hitting the tarmac quite hard.

That said, I don't recall anyone saying "I'm glad I had the kevlar knuckles on" after a crash.

The kevlar has to fit well though. I bought some gloves with kevlar at the Ally Pally show. I tried on the gloves, chose my size, then went to the bottom of the glove bin, to pick a fresh pair. When I try them on on the bike a few weeks later, I find that one of them is slightly smaller than the other so that the knuckle kevlar digs into my hand when I pull in the clutch making it too difficult to ride with.
