Hey

My mates just bought one of these, year old only 350 miles, not sure how much for. Just wondered if anyone on here has ridden one or has any stories/experiences with them. Not really my sort of bike but I really want to go out on the back of it! Very Happy

they're one of my favourite looking bikes Smile

although apparently its not as fast as it should be for a 1400cc muscle bike and you can guess how it handles by looking at it- bet its nice and comfy for cruising around though.

If I was gonna buy a muscle bike I'd go for the new Honda CB1300 now like:

I love the GSX1400. They look great and I bet they go well as well. Very Happy

Every review I've ever ridden has the CB1300 waaaaay ahead of the competition. I had a go on the old CB1000 and that was like a gas turbine, it was so linear. You could pull away in 6th, if you decided you wanted to.

I wouldn't mind a go on the 1300.

I know nowt about the GSX1400 though Very Happy

Cheers

Well I've got one and they're brilliant ... put out about 100bhp and 94ft/lb of torque ... but with a set of Blue Flame race cans, a PCIII, K&N and a full set of Zorstec pipes ... I've been told it should be nearer the 125bhp and 114ft/lb mark ... that happening on July 27th Smile))

As for handling ... yes it's a big heavy bike ... but I can keep up with GSXR1000s, R6s, ZX6Rs etc ... so it's no slouch ... you only really notice when you're going hell for leather ... but that's part of the fun.

Get one or get a shot on one you'll love it ... so much torque you can almost ride about in one gear the whole day.

All the best ... Barry

I rode a ZRX1100 the other day which is very similar. Was comfy as hell and wheelied off the power in first gear without any drama what so ever.

Felt a little uninvolving compared to my normal bike but still good fun. Not as torquey as I would have thought though, more peaky really.

The only thing i find appealing about the GSX 1400 is that the fuel injection can be made to fit my 1100 without too much fuss.

Good looking but that engine is throttled senseless in stock trim. Get your mate to get it power commandered and a loud pipe.
