Crash damage you should look out for, these are popular bikes to throw down the road Sad Scratched frame/engine cases (or missmatched bits) and more seriously bent forks... TAKE IT ON A TEST RIDE it might handle wrong suggesting bent bits, you might not get on with it...
Take the full cash price and if he wont let you or a trusted experianced rider then walk away.

See if any bolts have lockwire on, these are easyly converted to full on race bikes, in any case many have been ragged (not so terrible if the maintinance has been kept up).

As far as specifics i couldn't say, check the gear box, all the plastics, look for leaks e.t.c. check the rear shock is not caked in shat.

If the tyres look worn thats £200 off, chain worn, another £100, serious cosmetics £???

Best bet is takeing a knowlageable friend/relative.

have a good listen to the engine make sure the cam chain isnt rattling they seem to lose there tension pretty quick

you will also hear the clutch rattle aswell at tick over pull the clutch in and it will dissapear that is nothing to worry about

make sure it ticks over nicely if you blip the throttle and the revs stay high for a little while then it will need setting up properly ( this is a common prob when everyone decide to fit a K&N filter and jet kit )
