Bit of mine broke off, the rubber tubes that hold the final black small diameter tubeing to the dual injector. Anyone know where I can get this from without going through the hassle of ordering of scottoiler website.

Any DIY store should have some rubber piping that's suitable. Take the small injector pipe with you to make sure you get a good fit. You can get some shrink wrap to put over it to make a good seal. I may have to do this with mine as it leaks slightly from this connection.

I've been thinking about getting a scottoiler, although I don't want to pay the stupid prices that they cost.

Anybody ever made a bodge-job version? Was it good?

a bodge job version that regulates the oil flow using the vacuum from the carbs, hence faster = more lube (in a roundabout way, could ride full throttle in first, and use more lube than you shoud for chain-speed)

harder than you think.

I have a scotoiler on the R6 but on the ZX6 I had a lubetronic electronic oiler. Out of the two I found lubetronic a lot better , cheaper and far far easier to fit. Cant remember how much the lubetronic is but a google should find out.

I wouldn't say that it's stupid money really. Time and effort saved cleaning and relubing the chain every week or two, coupled with the saving in chain cleaner/lube, it pays for itself after a couple thousand miles.

Before I got one with my bike all I heard was praise for scottoilers.
I have had it working good for a while but them it catches and rips a part of it off or the HCR doesn't flow to the other bit.
Great if they work but doesn't mean you can forget about your chain.

Mine stopped working for about a week before I noticed. Unfortunately a rainy week and now have the tightest tight spot ever.
Hoping soaking it in some old oil then parafin clean then lube will save my 3 month old chain Evil or Very Mad .

Cheers for the info, will pop down to my local DIY/Fish shop. Thumbs Up

Oh yeah, you still have to check your chain. The HCR fitted on the NSR is broken again - the bike fell on it (don't ask how!) and now the metering gauge is slightly tilted. It's now leaking a little so the vacuum must have gone. The first time it smashed when I went over some unmarked roadworks at night. It cracked against the swingarm. It was replaced under warranty though Thumbs Up
