Anyone planning on going to this?

In my opinion it's a better 'bikey' festival than Rock'n'Blues; with drag racing to particpate in as well as watch and various other bike activities like decent stunt shows etc.
Also all the usual beer and music.

Admittedly I'm not sure if I'll be going yet.

I would like to go; definitely want to get some drag racing in this year.

However it coincides with a Race meeting - the way funds are going it would probably be a much better idea to do the relatively cheaper festival.

August 12th/13th/14th

Anyone interested? - While some festivals I wouldn't mind just goin' on me own and doing my own thing, don't really feel like it here for various reasons.

Bands Listed on the site:
The Datsuns
Terrorvision
Flogging Molly
Therapy?
Queen Adreena
Casbah Club
Hurricane Party

Streetfighter Sunday at the Ace cafe is on, on the Sunday of this weekend, so my plan would be to head straight down the M40 and have a nose around there before heading home later on in the day.

I'm at Oulton Park on the 13th but Bulldog is on the route back so somewhat tempted to make a stop. What's the story with getting a big van in? Confused

I'm interested in this but dont know anyone into that sort of music/bikes like this. None that have any money anyway.

Depending on whether my bike can make it and if I can meet up with you before hand to make sure you can put up with me I will see Laughing
Im hoping it will be ok turning up on a knackered old 125 2-stroke Question May pay a visit to you on a Brands track day between now and then as I live near to there. Thumbs Up

So if you wouldnt mind a straggler (im only a small guy) and I get on with you then could well be interested in tagging along.

Wonder if theyll let me take the GP125 up the Drag Strip! Laughing

Well assuming the insurers let me put my bike back on the road soon (all thats needed are indicators, headlight and a hammer + a bit of hitting) then I should be able to meet up soon(ish).

I'm very tempted to take my bike up the drag strip now! Laughing Wonder if it will make it. Shocked

M and I are both of work that week anyway, so we are likely to turn up.
Depends on whether both bikes are in a usable condition (insurance is due around that time and no doubt something will go wrong with one of the bikes while the weather is nice).

Hi

Any idea of ticket cost? Thought last year you had to get a fairly expensive weekend ticket.

And go for Snetterton. One of the tracks you should do well at.

All the best

About £45 I think?

Quote:

That £45 would be one 7 lap race at Snetterton or so.

While I should be able to do well there, my bike isn't so able.

Also, at the moment I'm looking at finances.
The idea of racing was to get the best bits of trackdays; so far this year I haven't been too happy with my riding and have often felt frustrated, because I know I can do better.

Thus, I'm tempted to do a track-school. It was always floating about in the plans, but nothing definite.
I don't think I can do another three race meetings and do a track school as well.

Also, I'm looking to maybe do a full season next year (no Glastonbury to distract me for a start Smile ), if so It would probably be better to get practice in at tracks I don't do so well at like Brands.

I'm still undecided so far.
Bulldogbash has several advantages; such as Drag racing (which was also in the plans for this year) and that I could go down to Streetfighters Sunday at the Ace Cafe; which I've really enjoyed the last couple of years. However also has other 'disadvantages' as well.

Even more hassle for me Confused - Bulldog bash is relatively convient.

The way I've been riding recently I reckon the track day a week or two before would probably be much better value for money for me.

Unfortunately I'll probably have to make my mind up before the Brands meeting.

I never intended to do a full season at all; was intending to do more than just miss two or three meetings out.

It depends on the size of van, Korn. Weekend car passes are £10, but it's £50 for caravans and camper vans. Now, whether that would also include a 'normal' (ie no window, beds, sofa, etc...) van I don't know. If you need to find out what the crack is on vans, call one of the Bulldog info lines on 07713 000673.
