Before I had a go I had thought it might be a bit much for me to handle but it was fine.

It pulls more strongly and evenly than my rs125 and seems less peaky. There was a nicer beefy sound to the engine. I had worried about keeping the wheel down but this wasnt a problem at all. I had worried i might fall in love and want to buy it on the spot even tho i dont have a license but this wasnt a problem either. I just liked it rather than am obsessed with it.

Its not a lot more than what i paid for my rs125 which has highish mileage and scratched panels. If i wanted to get my rs125 looking as good as the rs250 I'd probably have to pay the difference in price between the two. Insurance will be a fair bit higher but not really a problem. r

The rs250 looks a lot like my silver extrema rs250 which is great cos i like the look. The rs250 is in show room condition which is lovely but i wd have to keep it that way which wd be a bit of effort as im a bit lazy.

However there was one silly thing that i didnt like. Some idiot previous owner has put lightweight bar weights on it so there is lots of vibration through your hands. I found this very offputting as i value the feeling of stability and stiffness on my rs125 compared with lesser 125's. If i were to buy the bike, I'd have to get some bar weights first. Its that annoying.

I couldnt properly tell how much i liked the handling because of this annoying vibration.

I probably wont be ready to buy it for some time if i do get it and its no great loss if i miss out but hes not trying that hard to sell it and wont drop the price. He'd like it to be gone by october to help with the deposit on a house but if he doesnt get his asking price he is just gonna keep it.

He has only done 1000 kms on it and he has all his documents in a little folder. He admitted its due for a rebuild but otherwise it wont have been neglected because his brother does work on 2 stroke dirt bikes. The bikes done 11000 kms.

If i buy it i might ask him to get the rebuild done for me as he can do it cheaper than i can.

I did the test ride on a big car park cos i dont have full license so i only took it up to about 60mph

Good fun test riding i wanna do another one. Maybe i'll do one every weekend.

the rs250 was £1500. you can get rgv250s much cheaper tho. I saw an old one for £500 but the rs250 was local to me so easy to have a go on.

I dont think i could get a 400 as nice as that for £1500 tho.

rs250 is basicly a tuned rgv 250 with better fairings
