Well, it took a while, but I'm up and running again.
The "carb" problem on the Bandit turned out to be dodgy piston rings, so Sylvester has had an engine transplant and is now running sweet as a nut.
I've replaced all my bike gear except for my helmet. My new one will be in at the end of the month. Fortunately, I have an old one which will do until then.
The ZX9R was sold for salvage last week for £475, so I still owe £2K on it. The Bandit has cost £870 to fix and the new gear (even allowing for Teknik discount) is £200. The new helmet will be £150.
So I'm broke , but I'm happy . Not feeling quite so grouchy now that I have working wheels again. ____________________ With experience comes age. |

Glad your back on the road mate. I crashed my bike a week ago (Well, Sunday around 10 days ago) and I'm bored still. No bike to work on and no bike to ride. Can't wait til this collar bone fixes to get back out there.
Then I can start working on my bike. ____________________ TheShaggyDA: I've got 3 or 4 pairs that predate my wife, so at least 11.5 years old. |
