Me and my friend want to take the restrictors out of his R6. It has blades like mine which are easy to do but then on the certificate it says caps. WTF are they and where?

Good karma will be dished out. Wink Thumbs Up

I thought caps were on the top of carbs and restricted the slide movement.
Although i thought R6's were fuel injected, so would it be ontop of the throttle body?

Hi

StuRS of the Apriliaforum on the 125 section has a R6, he might be of some knowledge.
Not sure if yours is FI but I had 1 throttle restrictor aswell as 4 blanking plates in the airbox on my GSXR. Took the guy who took them out like 2mins to do.

Ill find stu's email as I know he is or was in the same situation as you.
Can't get his email but check out this site. (r6forums)

R6 has a plate in each carb inlet, take carbs off then take the rubber cover things off and remove the plate, rebuild.

The caps are in the carbs, take the cover off on the slide sping side and you will see black tube things covering the spring so that the slide doesn't move at all Shocked remove these, there is one in each of the four carb sections.

You should have removed four black tubes and four washers so rebuild the bike and enjoy 165ish mph Mr. Green
