Hi

As a learner in Aus can you even ride a 400?

They are lower revving with more low down power, but still not that great. In many ways the CBR400 will be very similar to the CBR250 (such as size and riding position).

All the best

Keith

The RVF/VFR and CBR are very similar in their final gear ration, i.e. 7,000rpm is around 70mph on both bikes. Both bikes have a 14,500rpm redline as well.

However, from what I could tell, the RVF/VFR feels so much 'less buzzy' at 70, probably down to how unstressed they feel at this speed. I'm not saying the CBR is stressed, as at 70mph, it's only at half engine speed. It just feels that way. I've ridden both bikes back to back, the CBR 'feels' like it's revving to cruise at 70, whereas the VFR/RVF 'feels' like it's just idling in comparison.

Definately would be better suited than a 250 though, however, I've never ridden one as a comparison.
