sorry to bring up the old chestnut, but just been out on the bike to a mates house to drop something off and seeing as it was 00:30 on the way back i hit the roundabouts the large roundabout i tried was bad since its at a point of about 3 hills so its hard to keep a smooth line around and the outer edge of the roundabout is laid with big rocks, the sort of rocks that eat a helmet visor before breakfast, which scared me also. so then i went to a smaller mini roundabout near to the local asda and this proved more successful i managed to hold the lean all the way round with my toe down for a full circle, however since it was a mini roundabout the bars were turned quite sharply and i was only doing perhaps 15mph. in either case, sticking my knee out, i still seemed a good distance from the road. Tips i've heard and done my best to follow include.

Arrow arse almost off the seat, one cheek on the seat or there abouts.

Arrow lean down as if to kiss the right hand mirror

Arrow opposite leg deep into the bike with thigh over the seat.

trying all these for a while in the mini roundabout my right side started to ache, does this mean my body position is wrong. Im just thinking my bike CANNOT be KD'ed it is more off an enduro/offroad type but can any bike be KD'ed with enough effort??

thanks

Having an enduro is no excuse! Mr. Green

My knee isn't down here, my FOOT is out.. but just goes to show you can lean a supermoto/enduro over further than any sports bike IMO. If you hang off and stick your knee out it'll go down, but leg out is far cooler! Very Happy

danclarkie- what is it you ride again? think I heard you say you have a tw125 (might be wrong) and if so I'm not sure, those baloon tyres might not be beneficial for knee down.... also low pegs and quite high seat- maybe the geometry of the seating position puts you a long way from the floor?

EDIT: sorry just seen your sig Smile
