Went out on Saturday for a ride, for no reason, i was going in and around Cheltenham basically, taking some scenic routes.
Through the day, obviously some people want to take on the VFR.
Most 400's are pretty quick, ZXR and the CBR, what cars is it actually a struggle to drag??
I dont know TBH, a lot depends on the driver i guess but anything 2.0L seems lame. I once tried to drag a Vanquish, being a V12 i knew the outcome but i wanted to see one go how it should.
Scoobys arnt a problem, so at what level of motor is it not worth it?? ____________________ Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.

the link below has quarter mile times of lots of cars and bikes
you will need to use edit and find function to find the ones you are interested in
zxr400 is listed as 12.9
which is just faster than Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII Extreme at 13.0secs
not all cars or bikes are listed but it gives u some idea
an rs125 (i have one) is 15.3secs which is faster than a BMW 328i SE or a Mitsubishi FTO GPX at 15.4secs
when dissing " i just beat a ..." stories ppl forget that you can beat an r1 if the guy on it doesnt want to race or isnt good at racing
https://www.totalmotorcycle.com/downloads/carmotorcycleperformancecharts1.htm
its possible the timings arent accurate cos i havnt checked them

excellent link, i've been looking for that site for ages
what is a RSS Yamaha R17?
on the zxr i was just gaining on a civic type R from 80mph upwards but it was a real struggle. my bike probably would have smoked it from a standing start though. |

It depends a lot on your speed mind.
At high speeds (60mph start) I can just outrun one of those 190bhp Lotus Elise's, but, I bet if we started at 80mph I wouldnt be able to, and from the lights I'd whoop it. ____________________ Yamaha SZR660 Caution to the wind, the throttle pinned! |
