Another ride into wales, - new route, 278 miles!

Well yesturday I woke up and decided it was time to take the green meanie for a REAL ride. After phoning Craig to see if he was still coming (he suggested the ride earlier this week!) Anyway Craig was still in bed and decided it was too much effort to join me (no bitterness here, honest)

I decide to tackle the Welsh roads alone, and I am glad I did!

I have included a map of my 278 mile route so any of those wishing to try it, can find it. I had being meaning to ride the A40 around brecon for over 2 years so it was quite an experiance actually making it there!

The A483 from Newtown to Llandrindod Wells is absolutly amazing, I managed to scrape my right knee for the first time on this bike on the road... several times down this road! and also the A484 from Carmarthen to Cardigan is stunning, highly reccomended. I stopped off at Cardigan, New Quay and Aber, each place is well worth a vist. I finished off having my PROPER welsh chips on the beach in Aber, leaving for home at about 9pm... Arrived home just after 10 as the last of the day light was leaving.

Not that many photos as I was too busy enjoying the Welsh roads!

I went out on a ride today but forgot to put batteries in the camera... Doh!

Those are my local roads , good fun on a nice day , hell in the winter.
If you plan on coming down this way again P.M. me ill give you some directions to the best roads in wales , all within a stones thow of the route you took today.

Looks good, next time take the b4520 from buith wells to brecon, its a much better road than the a470.
