Mobile phones and Driving - Again

A bit more evidence to back up my claims that using mobiles and driving do lead to poor attention and possible accidents.

I'm sure Keith will say it's all nonsense....

Now I'm really surprised after all the comments on the last thread about mobiles that no one here is offering any explanation as to:
how the research is flawed
it's a government plot
we are all able to use our mobiles
etc, ect

A friend called me today from his car - on a hansfree kit I helped fit I may add...

I told him to call back when he got home and perhaps then we could have a discussion.

I agree with using mobiles in cars for the breif "going to be late" calls, or taking an urgent call (your wifes on her way to hospital) or asking someone to call back. I disagree with those people who sit talking for hours about something they could easily have discussed before they left, or once they've arrived.

I'm riding to newquay on friday - I'll be wearing a handfree kit in order to stay in contact with my other friends driving down and agreeing where to meet.
