Ok, sorry for wats going to be a long post, and i am tired so if i dont make much sence i apologise.

Started off yesterday in Barrow with me and a mate on an rs125 around 7.40 after much fannying around trying to get a tent we set of (now 8.25) we headed out towards ulverston, through Dalton, me with a tent on my back, tank back, pockets full of stuff. and him with one bag full of crisps and beer.
traveling a few miles on some twisty lanes we pull over to have a quick brew and were off again, down Lindale hill were i hit my highest indicated speed ive ever had on a 4 stroke 125, a wopping 80mph
at this point we didnt know wed actually gone past our turning, we were too busy enjoying the lanes...
got a tad lost, and stoped in a petrol station and asked for directions to make sure, a young mank lad behind the counter told us to follow the road back up and take a left, so we set of thinking were not too far off course and get even more lost, asked for more directions from two nutty old women who wouldnt shut up about how dark its going to get so we best turn back apparently these modern bikes dont have good lights, anyway we start heading in the right direction and near grizedale we get to the longest, bendyest, wavyest twisties youve EVER seen, it was truly amazing, we hit them in daylight and came out at night time, (50-60mph) i just didnt want it to end, had a couple of brown trouser moments with running wide but apart from that it was great arrived at the totally wrong end of were we wanted to be, low on fuel not a petrol station open in site.. we decide to wait till morning to fuel up and head back.
Find a nice little spot to set up camp so we un pack the tent.. or so we thought... the guy i lent it of had give me the wrong one, instead of giving me a 3 man dome tent, he gave me a f£cking fishing tent... with no door! after bodging a tent by tiping it upside down and tying it between our bikes we try get some sleep, we are miles from anywere between two great valleys and woodland area all around and theres a field with sheep in just over the hill... it was pretty spooky had a good laugh and got couple of hours kip, woke up around 5.00 and made a small fire to cook some food on for breakfast ( boil in the back sausage and beans)
Gloomy clouds were appearing among the misty hillsides so we decide to pack up move out.
The way home was ok, my mate fueled up again, i didnt as i get about 100 mile to a fiver.
No problems, apart froma heavy goods wagon that didnt see us and pulled out on us, found some more great lanes and arrived home.

A totally unorganised trip, no reason for the trip and we had a great time, a good ride and would definitely do it again, this time possibly witha propper tent.

Oh and we slept in full bike gear, boots jacket gloves and.. helmet as we didnt bring pillows.

As i type this its just starting to rain

Cool.

Sounds like a fun trip. That's the best type of camping in my opinion, stringing bits of material to things that will hold it up.

How do you get a fishing tent (bivvy) with no door Would not facy having a carp run at 3a.m. and not being able to get out!

To be honest, you were probably better in a tent with no door in this weather. All you really need it for is to keep the dew off your stuff and biting insects away. Trust me, I was in a tent this weekend and it was bloody boiling!
