I was coming back from the old dears house last night after an eventful day and a bad back i needed some rest.
On the way back i was being hassled by a Golf (new one) he tried to freak me out by overtaking about an arms length away from me. Extremly hacked off i thought i'd return the favour and maybe take his mirror home for the mantle piece, we got to a roundabout and exited, in the middle of the road on the way out was a collection of road dirt and stones (I didnt see it).
I started to overtake, he punched it and i dipped the clutch, i would have easily over took but the dirt sent me almost sideways from the power of the bike.
(in my head) Praying Confused Shocked Arrow Question Idea Sick Exclamation

I was shaken, and thankfully still on the bike.

best thing with tossers like that is to leave em to it. let them by, keep yourself safe and you can ride past their crumpled heap of a car in a tree a few bends later.

Thats a lot harder to do than say...

Some idiot in a newish looking BMW started tailgating me in a 30 zone yesterday... i mean in a 30... with kids? and he was about 20cm from my rear wheel... so naturally i thought it would be ammusing to slow right down to exactly 30mph and stick there for the duration of the 30 zone. He then decided to floor it and overtook me around a blind turn... i thought nothing of it as i knew there was lights ahead... and supprise supprise 2 seconds later i heard a screech as he slammed the brakes on to stop for the red lights with a kid and his mum crossing... I mean what a bloody idiot. I proceeded to filter up past him to the front of the lights, they turned green and i started to go... in my left hear i could hear a huge roar as he floored the pedal and tried to drag me off the line... i had no choice but to try and beat him as i was allready half a bike length ahead of him and there was a big bus infront of me, heading towards me... so here we were, dragging it off the line in a 30 zone with a road works section about 30meters ahead of us... naturally i beat him and made him look a fool as he shook his head in amazement as i leaned back to give him the finger...

But when you get that adrennaline, its hard not to let it control you. On the upside, at least i know i can now out-drag a beemer off the lights Wink

After what happened to me yesterday with a woman walking out in front of me (see my post) it is better to be cautious than hurt yourself.
Yes we all have to put up with pratts but just look after number1

I don't get some people. If someone is tailgating you, let them know visually that you object to their actions. Slowing down will only piss them off more and make them do a stupid manouvre. Which could possibly end in an accident or endangering others.

I have never come across a situation where a driver hasnt reacted sensibly to me turning round on the bike and with my arm, giving a "back off" signal.

If you just slow down, they'll think you're just plain slow or deliberatelytrying to piss them off...and it'll work too. Smile They are in and out of your life in 5 seconds time (usually), try not to make it a more unpleasant experience or one that ends in an accident. Smile

I love it when you turn roun to drivers, flip them the bird, and they then seem to have an eyesight malfunction, and cant see you, and take a fierce interest in the radio, or such lol Laughing
