Hi all, ok got my test booked for 2nd august i just got my CBT again for the second time 2 weeks ago, been on bikes for 2 years now and driving for just under 1 year. just wondering how important you all would say training is before the test. i went ok on my CBT only mistake was not stopping at zebra crossing but i didnt want to get left behind by instructor and i had seen the people at the side fo the crossing knowing i should stop. ive loaned 3 fantastic books form the library:

HONDA Motorcycling a Practical Guide
The Motorcycling Manual
and
The DSA Official Motorcycling

i still cant quite shake the feeling im braking some kind of metaphorical eligibility by not taking training before my test, yet on the other hand i feel i am honestly a good competent safe rider. i can get a short session with my CBT instructor out of hours with him on his bike and me on mine but its too late too book any formal training now. any ideas anyone???

thanks

Get at least an hour's training. You'll be amazed at how much you've forgotten/ got too lazy to do. There's an awful lot of (perhaps) unneccesary stuff that you can get failed for. Having an instructor look at you after you've essentially taught yourself (CBT being mostly spent trying not to fall off and attempting to work out why the bike wouldn't accelerate in 4th at 20mph Laughing ) can be a bit of a shock.

Even if you are a good, competent, safe rider, it doesn't mean you will pass the test. Thumbs Down
