Right, as I am now the proud owner of a shiny SV650s the RS has got to go. Unfortunately. Anyway, on with the info...
- 2001/X reg bike with 11,300km on the clock
- 12 months MOT and roughly 6 months tax (£15 per year tax, so not a concern regardless really)
- Brand new rear tyre. Literally. It was getting to the point where it needed to be replaced and then I got a slow puncture, so it had to be done. I've ridden back from the tyre place on it, and that's it.
- It's been looked after! Unlike most RS's you'll find the bike has been warmed up without fail and ridden below around 6,500rpm until fully up to temp. I've also always used fully synthetic oil which is a must for this bike and again, something lots of people don't bother with.
- Full service history
- Chain/sprockets etc all good
- Fully standard, no tacky mods
Can't think of anything else but I'm sure I've missed something. I'm looking for £1800 ono.
Viewings welcome (Waterlooville, near Portsmouth) and you're welcome to a test ride so long as I get a 100% deposit. PM/email for contact info.

I may be in touch soon, btw what speeds can taht thing go? cos im looking at driving it to Essex is she gets one. Plus she will be learning on it, is it a suitable bike in your opinion for a learner?
Many Thanks, |
Cool. Feel free to pop round any time to have a look if you're interested.
Atm it is restricted so would officially be 'learner legal'. It's good for 80mph at a push so you can do motorways on it but frankly it's not a lot of fun and both you and the bike will probably want a break every now and then as it equates to a good 8,000rpm at 70 if I remember right and the riding position's very hard on the wrists compared to something like your Bandit. If you took a route which was part motorway part twisty you might find you don't want to hand the keys over when you get there though. It also has a brand new rear tyre which will need scrubbing in so no knee down on the first roundabout stuff.
As far as using it as a first bike, well it was my first bike and although it isn't as easy as something like a CG125 for a total beginner once you've got used to the basics it's a hell of a lot more fun so the chances of deciding it's too boring after a few months are way lower, not to mention you can derestrict it for a few quid and it's good for 100 or thereabouts. Plus the tart in all of us can enjoy the fact it looks fantastic too. Obviously the main difference with the RS is that it's a 2 stroke so it has to be revved in order to go anywhere, something that may take a little getting used to but once you get the hang of it is no trouble and frankly quite good fun, apart from in town.
One bloke is supposed to be getting back to me on Friday about it but that could go either way. Would be nice to sell to a BCF-er though, so MSN/mail/pm me if you want to check it out. ____________________ Photos and that |

Why's that such a problem? Can always pick one up off ebay for about £50. ____________________ Photos and that |
