Roll up Roll up!!!

For sale:

RG125 FUN Spares or Repair

Some little tikes tried to nick it last weekend and the ignition barrel needs to be replaced. The fork seals have gone and the tyres are nearly as bald as Ghandi.

The fairing is a bit scruffy but can be made to look good as new. Overall it is a wicked little bike. Powervalve is still working fantastically. Only problem is the oil pump needs to be adjusted as theres a bit of blue smoke coming out the exhaust.

Perfect for anyone who wants a good project.

I will throw in the helmet, armoured jacket and plastic pants lol (waterproof kegs), and a waterproof bike cover that has only been used twice.

I am based in Bristol so if anyone is interested you would be picking the bike up as it can't be started due to the ignition barrel being knackered.

These bikes are pretty rare (maybe it's just because I haven't seen many around, or none around at all!) but the parts are very easy to find. I have websites that I can disclose for anyone looking for parts for this particular bike.

Let the offers roll in......

p.s. I will be getting photo's of the bike when it stops p*ssing down outside! Otherwise I'll be throwing in a spares or repair digital camera.....

Hiya mate,

The bike has a smidge over 13k on the clock. Oh forgot to mention I'll be throwing in a Thatcham approved disk lock and a Fast Car bottle opener keyring!!! Bargain.

Ideally I was hoping (cringe) to get at the most £600 (good deal with the extra's).

Here's some photo's for you!

Hello mate,

It's a grey import so I'm pretty sure it's derestricted.

I'll have to turn your offer down as I would probably accept any offers over £550.

The bike would be worth approximately a grand if fixed up, The parts needed to fix it wont cost that much, tyres £100 - £120 the pair, fork seals £9.95, ignition barrel £28.95.

The crack in the fairing can be welded easily, and resprayed either manually or can be done by a pro for around £200.

All in all the final cost would be around £340 + cost of bike (say £550) = £890....

Not that bad for a decent race rep 125

have you tried eBay, looks like a nice little project for someone.

l guess you mean 13,000 miles not kilometres even though its a imported bike with a kilometre Speedo (the Speedo converter gives it away, makes you wonder how long it’s been on Wink )

The bike was for sale at Bike Direct in Bristol. When I bought the bike, they registered it and converted the speedo ready for the MOT. The mileage is all legit and yes I meant 13000 miles. Funky little blue converter though!!

It was a right off when I bought it, made it my own little project and fixed it up pretty good! The crack in the nose cone was there when I bought it and I never got round to fixing that.

I'll give Ebay a go maybe at the start of the week. Just a bit dubious about getting a crap deal on it understandably. In your honest opinion, what would you say I should sell the bike for?

can,t really tell without seeing a bike in person but from your description and if l was a 16y old looking for a project about £500 would sound ok for a low mileage 125. (looks just like a mini RGV)

Cool thanks mate I'll give that a try on Ebay.

I've had the bike standing next to an RGV250, the bikes are pretty identical to look at, just the RGV has 2 exhausts and mine has a peashooter lol

Thanks for the advice tatters, wish me luck!

(if anyone is interested in the bike, I would still be open to offers)

As i have a tadge over £700 but would rather have a 125supermoto or enduro than a race rep but it still looks nice Smile

Hello mate,

It's a 2 stroke 1 cylinder that has served me loyally for over a year now! I've been more than happy with it. Rumour has it, this bike kicks the s**t out of the NSR's but I haven't seen any around my area to race.

Tell you what though, you would turn a lot of heads with one of these bikes, without the L plates you would think it was much bigger than a 125. I love it, very pissed off to see it go to be honest.

A little TLC and this bike will be your best friend! Plus with the jacket and helmet, the concrete won't be as much your enemy!

I should get a job in marketing I tell you.......

Ok so it's come to the crunch now, I've been offered a job 20 miles away. I was going to use the money I get from the sale to buy a cheap runaround for work purposes (plus I cant strap a 3 month old baby to the back, the masking tape would upset the nappy rash lol).

I will be willing to swap for a cheap runaround, not part exchange, straight swap (unless someone actually wants to pay me money on top of that lol).

The cheapy somewhat Lada'ish car must have some MOT and tax even if it's a few months.

Obviously I'm not going to swap for something that is literally falling apart not due to light speed missions.

Irresistable....

Would you be willing to meet me halfway at £500?

Tatters,

Just read through that 419 website. Had a look through the one where he managed to cop the bastard out of $700+ dollars. Classic!

I've had 2 more through the Friday Ad which I'm fermenting until I fancy having some fun, or if anyone wants to have a laugh with me....
