Engine replacement

Hi
Im wondering if its possible to stick either a TZR or DT engine into the frame of a TDR.
I'v got a TDR125 with a shagged engine and was looking at getting a full rebuild , but it wud seem alot cheaper to just replace it (2nd hand)

I'v heard the DT engine is a diff. shape so it wont fit?? Confused

Hi

One will probably fit, but which one I am not sure. Think the TDR has an electric start version of the engine, while most of the DTs and TZRs will be kick start only.

Probably best to look for an engine from an Italian import TZR.

I think a Dtr engine fits in a Tzr if thats any help, dont quote me if im wrong.
