Nope, my bike is my hobby, so I enjoy getting out in the garage and playing about with it, or fixing any probs.
Was thinking of getting a basket case bike as another project as the MC21 is now finished.

When I was doing the engine change on the ZZR, every time I started doing something I found somehting else that need to be done or bought first. Definitely started to suffer from 'fuck it' syndrome after a while. Motivation became a real problem, especially as we still had two bike we could use.
However the sense of satisfaction when the thing started with the new engine far out weighed the pain in the arse that it was ____________________ I spend all my money on bikes and beer, the rest I simply waste! |

Believe me mate i no exactly how your feeling, i feel about the same right now, considering every time something goes wrong i fix it, and now it has a really big problem, rendering it unrideable, and its my first bike, BRAND NEW FOR GODS SAKE, and I havent even made it more than a mile before the thing has broken. |

I'm in a downer with the NSR at the moment. A side panel fell off due to a missing mounting point, the head bearings, brakes and chain adjusters went at the same time and i rode it like that for a while. I just could not be arsed to deal with the thing.
I've fixed the brakes though, and the bearings and adjusters are being replaced as we speak . ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/nsrandy/96rs250/ My Bike!

I know what youre sayin hippy about the satisfaction of the end result. That is when its a good one Im at a point where Ive only just started to ride and unsure what I can attack myself and what I cant. Prob is if Im not sure it means a trip to the shop and the obvious money exchanging hands to do so.
Pretty sure I could fix anything with the manual about 90% of the time but on a bike a mere stuff up could render you fucked up if it decides to shit itself at 100. Right now gonna play it safe.
Still uninclined to wash the bitch til she gives me a little satisfaction back in return |
