On way to work.

Had my lights on.

Doing about 30.

A van gets to a junction and pulls out to the right straight away, without looking.

Where am I? On the road heading towards then van.

I managed to break and blow horn at same time, alerting him and making him swerve, thus I narrowly missed him. I considered jumping.

He immediately put his hands up to appologise, I couldn't be ar*ed having an argument. I just stared at him and took my time whilst I found neutral and restarted the engine. (yeah come to think about it I wasn't worried about stalling it, like when your on your test).

oHH joy, didn't help it was very wet this morning.

Now my mate reckons its best not to jump, but im not sure..

A few years ago, during heavy rain, my bike started fishtailing on a tight left hand bend. I decided to leave it to its own devices and jump. somehow I got stuck and the damn thing dragged me under a lorry which was just turning right. luckily the driver had seen me so had stopped, that was the scariest thing ever. The point? I don't think there's a best answer but I still think its best to let 200kg of metal do what it wants as far away from me as possible.
