yep you would, although I think sometimes if your a lorry driver for instance and you got caught on a bike, you may get to keep your lorry licence.

As BlackSheep said, but I believe that, if you have a car and bike licence, and you lose your licence in your car (therefore lose bike licence too) and ordered to retake your test, then to gain your licences back, you can take either the car, or bike test again. Smile

As has been said above lose one lose them all.

You basically have one license with a number of entitlement on it. As such if you lose your license you lose all the entitlements.

I believe that the court may allow you to keep your licence as you require it for your livlihood. You'd just have to be very careful for the next few years as one mistake and its definatley gone!

i guess ppl with big bikes have to play far away from police hot spots or cameras.

If i have been on a countryside run on my 125, I only go 60mph to 80mph if that but when I come back through towns to get home its so hard to to stick to 30mph.

My bike is happy at 80mph and I havnt really taken it further.

I hear it is a ban for anything above 100mph so riding a bike which is comfy at 160mph, I wd have thought its just a matter of time before the points (or bans) start coming.

Im tempted to get a fast bike but I'm not sure its worth the risk unless I just ride it as fast as my 125 and whats the point in that ?

You only go as fast as you tell the bike to go. Yeah, the bike's comfy at 160, doesn't mean you are.

And why get a bigger bike? The law states you can't go over 70mph. It doesn't state how quickly you get to 70mph. Twisted Evil

the kind of roads i like are long twisty country roads where I dont need to stop and accelerate up from standing.

I like them empty so i wont need to overtake very often.

Generally the bends can be taken at 40mph and probably more when i get better.

I guess the faster I can acclerate from 40 to 80 the better but for me the satisfaction comes from maintaing speed on the bends.

Once I have passed my test I will try out a few bikes.

If i want more power I guess i might get a rs250 or a rgv250 as they arent much heavier than my rs125.

On my rs125, I can change my mind on what line im taking through the corner quite easily even when I have started on it. I think this would be harder on a bigger bike.

I once talked to a guy in a pub with a biggish bike who said riding at 30 through town felt way too slow and his speed wd always creep up without him noticing.
