I have to travel past Brands Hatch on the way to work, unfortunately I am having to work tonight Thumbs Down

My point is this. If any one is going to Brands tomorrow there are unmarked cars on the M20 I know this because I got 3 points tonight, As the M20 ends this goes onto the A20 then becomes a 50 this is where I got done for 82mph in a 50 this resulted in 3 points and £60 pound fine.
Whilst getting a verbal from the LAW they informed that they will be on patrol there tomorrow looking for speeding bikes.

So look out Blue BMW 5 series and I have seen a light blue Volvo before aswell

Yeah the unmarked cars are pretty nasty, and terribly hard to spot at times. Theres a few roaming around here in Plymouth, I know one of them is a red Fiesta. But out of the many red Fiestas in Plymouth, one of those is a cop. Shocked

More particular, Liverpoolrobbie, bikers.

Don't you think Question

We're easy targets. We stand out from cagers. And EVERYONE assumes we're out to break the law.

What a load of crap. But we have to suffer it Thumbs Down

Oh come on.

We all speed, that's not going to change, just don't speed where there's a much higher risk of getting caught.

I.e around brands when the WSBs are on! It's asking to be pulled.

There's no point looking for undercover cars, you'll just make yourself more unsafe. Speeding is a calculated risk, that we all take. Just don't do it at stupid speeds or in stupid places.

I got stopped Saturday night.

Picked wife up from work, 2 kids in the car (10pm at night), blue lights.

What??

Checked speedo not over 30, presumed a light out.

Then I was told I was on the phone.

Funny my car has hands free as does the phone.

I told him no I was not, showed him the phone, showed him the call list, etc.

On reflection I thought it might be a way of stopping people to smell for drink as it was just outside the town centre.

Some round my way:

Black Mitsubushi Galant, tinted windows, real beast of a thing.
Black Mk4 Golf GTI, tinted windows, alloys etc
A few Rover 75s, Focuses, Mondeos and Vectras
Also seen them in Imprezas and my most recent find, a W8 Passat.
oh, and an R1 but you can see his yellow coat.

I know the 3 unmarked cars on my island and even know the numberplates.

Grey new shape fiesta, 2 of them and a silver bmw 3 series.

Get paranoid every silver bmw i see, and where i live everyone who thinks he's 'Gangster' has one, pain in ass.

Always keep eye out for more and when i see them i remember them.

Did a 60mph wheelie past a police officer who was walking along about a week ago, thing is i know her well and bound to be lectured next time i see her. Laughing

Sometimes they are obvious to spot, sometimes not. Usually look for tinted rear windows, alloys, immaculate state, two rear view mirrors, two people in white shirts. Thumbs Up

Do not rely on two people, I have been pulled over in a navy Mondeo Zetec with one person. Confused

Generally I look for no dealer stickers, green tints, extra arials, anything on the back windscreen that looks suspect and see what the driver is wearing. If it is something reasonably fast being driven at or below the speed limit then I think twice about overtaking it.

Once overtook an unmarked S40 on L plates and drove like a learner the whole way home. Laughing Thankfully they never said anything, slightly worrying when you look over your shoulder to come in and see two peelers sitting there. It was an empty road and a safe overtake so they had nothing really to do me for except 20mph over the speed limit. Laughing

One of our friends today suffered the rath of the unmarked Impreza near Sutton Bank. The guy in the Impreza clocked him and the copper down the road pulled him and booked him.

90mph in an NSL. I'm surprised they didn't stop the whole group of 8 as nobody was doing less than 70 up that stretch.

Thats always part of the problem with biking. If you are in a group and the guy at the front gets a bit enthusiastic, everyone else in the group faces a decision to keep up/play by the rules/get lost in the middle of nowhere. Its very easy to think I'll just blat along this straight bit and catch them up, and flash flash its point-tastic.

It is very easy to get caught up in the fun or be carried away in your catching up, you just have to be careful. I've been caught speeding, I was very lucky and got the seminar option as it was 46 in a 40, but it could so easily have been points.

As with everything else, you take the risk, and you take the penalty if you are caught. However bikes are targeted more than cars, but I think thats got something to do with the fact that the injuries are more severe if you bin a bike...

Be careful out there peeps! Thumbs Up

Think Russ is just spitting his dummy out because he got points and I've never had any - car or bike Laughing

And in this game, I'm afraid points don't mean prizes Crying or Very sad

Chin up everyone. I ride just like everyone else Wink
