Anyone got any experience of mixing different brands of oil?

I've got 2l of one brand semi-synth and 2l of another brand semi-synth lying around from previous oil changes. The bike takes 3.8l

My gut says it's a bad idea but I'm just curious to know.

Half a litre of GTX 10W40 mixed with half a litre of Formula 20W50 (£2.99 for 5 litres Laughing ) without any obvious ill effects. My bike is significantly more agricultural than yours though.

Hi

Probably not the best idea, but I have mixed brands on numerous occasions.

All the best

I'd happily mix them.
