I have the Jun Maeda '04 lap on his CBR1000 (.avi to MPEG converted)
I'd like some more of the same sort of thing, from different riders bikes, and years.
"In Car" laps of the worlds classic road courses, such as Spa, Nurburgring, Lemans, Laguna Seca and such like are also welcome.
Laps of the new chicane loaded GP circuits are not wanted.
Good Examples: PikesPeak.mpg and the 1956 lap of Lemans by Mike Hawthorn in the D-Type by Thorn-EMI, I THINK?? (amazingly good, better than some 1980's laps I've found).
Attended Sebring 12 and Daytona 24 hour races 1964-1972, then they killed off the Sports Prototypes. BTW- I HATE 934-935 Porsches....lived 1 mile from Tampa Dragway on U.S. 92, never went back after hearing the Ferrari V-12's. Jaded for our big V-8's evermore.
I saw Yvon du Hamel on a Yamaha 350 at the Daytona AMA 200 once or twice '68-'70. Learned to "hang off" from Ken Anderson and Paul Smart about the same time...about the time he did the "Ton" on a Seeley-Matchless 500cc single...
My first issue of our Cycle World mag. had a Honda 305 Super hawk on the cover and a road test on it inside...1964.
I learned of John Surtees and his years with MV Agusta from an article in Road & Track about the time he went to Ferrari for GP and sports cars. This also intoduced me to the Norton Manx and Moto Guzzi V-8.
I listened to this years TT online via ManxRadioTT.com. Taped them on audio cassettes. Laps of Honour were best of ALL! had to get up a 4AM CDT to listen in on some races....I'm not normaly a "morning person" as I have been an amature astronomer up untill recently.
Died and went to heaven, wot?
