https://www.lm-spares.co.uk/acatalog/CHAIN___SPROCKETS.html
They have two types

Tsubaki (Standard)
and DID (Heavy Duty and Gold)

There's £20 quid in the price so is there much difference other than the goldness and since I'm almost skint a small comprimise in quality is do able?

Cheers

Which bike is this for? Did I read right further down the forum that you have a TRX?

I'm quite paranoid about the quality of chains, especially on the bigger bikes. If it were me, I'd pay more and get the more expensive one - even if I were skint (which, come to think of it, I am...! Doh!).

Haven't tried a Tsubaki, but I've got a tendercy to buy shiny things and have used DID gold chains before, so if it was me, I'd go for that.

Yep for a TRX, don't suppose you know of any cheap places to get them?

I've not needed a new chain for mine yet - sorry. Sad

I assume you've tried the usual outlets such as M&P? What about eBay?

Have you joined the TRX forum? There are lots of TRX owners on there, who may just know of a good place to pick up a decent quality new chain. If you don't already have the address, it's https://trx850.myfreebb.com/index.php.

Have you looked on https://www.bandcexpress.co.uk/ for chains? Got mine from there earlier this year and have seen it recommended by quite a few people.

I am using a Tsubaki chain and have had no problems with it.
