The 600 Hornet end can will fit, as should the hugger. I'm not sure about the bellypan, the best thing may be to see if any of your local dealers have got one in stock so that you can have a look and check if it will fit.

I'm not sure what will fit the 250....hell, I'm not sure many folk in this country do, only the hornet 250 owners forum.

I could sell you the race can....Very Happy Hell, could even sell the bellypan to you too. I'm not overly fussed on the bellypan, it's been re-painted red, not bad really, but just isn't as glossy as my bike normal finish. £30 deivered (only because it'll be akward to send)

Looking for £50 for the race can, delivered. Slight issue with the connection, it's 1cm out from the frame connection so on my bike, it's held SECURELY with a cable tie. You can easily just buy a new bracket to suit for £10 or less, hell, you could probably get one for free if you email one of the big exhaust manufacturers and tell them you didn't get a brakcet with your new exhaust Wink

Still....can's in tip top condition, stainless steel, no brand name, has not for road use on it but that could be filed/polished out I guess. I've never really been that bothered about it.

Google for "hornets nest" and go to the 4th link, or which ever link has ezboard.com in it. Thats the hornet owners forum. Thumbs Up Smile

Infact, here it is: https://p196.ezboard.com/bhornetsnest56467

cheers guys

ive already met a guy who hides in the same place i live with another 250 hornet - he used a 900 hornet splitter, and has twin art cans , de-restricted, re tuned to cbr250rr standards (well 24k rpm is a bit unique Very Happy) and his bike runs at 138mph on a gps speedo jobby - not too shabby for a 250!!. p.s. i ran on my mums faired hornet and it wouldnt go faster than 140!!

gonna get myself a blue flame exhaust (with the baffle sucked out) but not dual as i am cheap and dont have the spare 600 quid to spend on the metal work and extra silencer

thanks again!! & keep 'er between the hedges

heh - you'd be lucky if you could get 100 on a less than perfect day - saying that it did 110 for a while today but its like something is pulling it back from going faster - it wont rev, but its not restricted - hence why im looking for a new can

it doesnt matter that it can only do a ton - it goes like stink, its way better than a 2 stroke and i had an rg125 and although the rg was quick, id take the hornet any day, like i said it goes like stink, nothing like watching jaws drop at 16000 rpm in 1st gear. it goes so quick it can power wheelie and ive never seen anything below 750's do that without a whole lot of clutch and leaning - go for one you wont be disappointed.

I would have LOVED a 250 hornet over the er5 I had. The 250 is basically a 600 with a smaller engine. Rumour has it it's a bit of a parts bin special i.e size of tyres and wheels are the same as a blades, which led to talk about honda making too many and deciding to make a 250.

I'd absolutely love a shot on one. Must be an absolute hoot. The 600 is stupidly fun to ride, I'd image the 250 more so without the risk of your license.

I got twin exhausts with pipe work off ebay for £181, so you don't need to spend £600. Having said that, the 250 hornet is rare so parts on ebay, especially dual exhausts won't be that common. Laughing

Get some pictures in the relevant section mate. Would love to see some. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

P.S I'm sure my 600 would power wheelie if I weren't such a wuss....Wink

my bike cost me £2000 (2004 xr125l3 + £400)

I'm told this was a bit over the top for a 97 model - i seen a 2002 hornet 250 for £2000 in the papers recently

it all depends on who you get it from really - although i think the 1300 pound mark is bare minimum for a damaged one

sorry!

Were you going for the record on how many times 'hell' was used in a single post?

well now i've found out that ya cant fit the can on without someone making special link pipe - quotes such as 200-300 pound i thought well thats a bit OTT for a bit of bent pipe, and then ive to leave the bike in for 3 days - cant get to work so thats not it

Ive decided to cut off the old silencer and put a dual exit blueflame can on it.

i'll post pics of before and after - c if you can spot the difference Rolling Eyes
