Biting Point

fited a new clutch yesterday (plates and springs + cable) and wondered if i can move the biting point. because the biting point is about 2cm from the lever being fully out. i plated with the adjuster on the cable, and the on on the engine case (where the chain goes) and i cna't seem to move the biting point. just stopped it slipping.


any ideas?

Have you got any free play on the lever?

I adjusted mine at the lever end first all the way in (most slack) and then tightened up at the clutch end until I had about 15 mm of freeplay on the lever. Then it should just be a case of adjusting at the lever end again to get the required amount of freeplay. If it was slipping before the bite point was probably too far out.

got about 3-4mm of free play now... thats after using the cable adjuster. seems alright though.

doesn't slip(not gone to fast yet thought) and wheeelies (little ones still) and can do good clutch control
